MONTH
BY MONTH SUMMARY OF THE
FISHING OFF WAUKEGAN
APRIL,
MAY & JUNE:
Coho-Mania is in full swing with the
arrival of warmer weather. Fast action begins this time of year with
many limits of Coho, Rainbows and
Lake trout. Fishermen planning a trip this time of year can definitely
expect to experience some of best fishing for trophy Rainbows and large
Lake trout. Many large Coho Salmon are also caught during this
spring warm-up.
JULY
through AUGUST:
By now summer is in full swing. Not only
do we have beautiful weather on the lake, but also we are still
continuing to have excellent catches for this time of year. During these
summer months the lake produces a variety of catches, coolers bulging
with King Salmon, Coho, Brown trout, Steelhead and Lake Trout with many
of the catches averaging over 20 fish
per trip.
SEPTEMBER
through NOVEMBER:
As the summer heat is slowly fading away
and the cool temperatures of fall begin to settle in, this begins some
of the most memorable fishing trips you may ever have. This time of year
brings beautiful mature kings closer to the shore. Many trips have
returned with stories of busted tackle, bent hooks, and tales of the one
that got away. With trophy Kings ranging between 20
to 35 pounds they will definitely
allow you to experience what King fishing in Lake Michigan is all about.
I hope this summary will be of some
assistance to you in selecting your charter(s), to make it a more
exciting and memorable day.
Feel free to call for additional
information you may need.
